Am 1. Februar 2011 eröffnet Stephen Kovats, Künstlerischer Leiter der transmediale, das Festival und präsentiert als besonderen Eröffnungsgast Derrick de Kerckhove und dessen digitalen Sohn Angel_F. Neben Performances von Herman Kolgen, Paul Vanouse, Ei Wada und Gabriel Shalom kommen am heutigen Abend auch die zahlreichen Festival-Zonen und Aktivitäten zum ersten Mal in Gang. Despite the shock and awe of their extraordinary sonic onslaught, MoHa! is the work of just two musicians: Anders Hana on guitar, electronics and effects pedals, and Morten J. Olsen on drums, triggering an avalanche of noise. Tonight they are collaborating with artist and photographer Anu Vahtra from Estonia and installation artist Idan Hayosh from Israel in a "sonic and visual performance that involves the audience in a physical experience of definite power and energy".
