In the first of two performances which explore atemporal electrical inventions, transmediale invites you to marvel at the audiovisual spectacle of energy being generated live. In Elektrolab, a battery is created and dissected live on stage, recalling the invention of the first battery by Alessandro Volta in 1800. The artists bring this vital device into the future in a fascinating contemporary performance context.
